Establishment of Brepols, Van Genechten and Biermans. First playing cards production in Turnhout.

1970

Cartamundi is founded as a joint venture between Brepols, Van Genechten and Biermans.

1993

Sales Office Cartamundi France SARL (Paris) is founded in response to the French market demand.

1994

Cartamundi Inc. is founded as a sales office in the United States.

1996

Cartamundi establishes factory in the United States and sales offices in Germany and the UK.

1999

Acquisition of the Swiss AG Müller and establishment of sales office Cartamundi Hungary Kft. in Budapest, as well as sales offices in the Netherlands and Sweden.

2000

The German company ASS becomes part of the Cartamundi Group.

2002

Acquisition of the Altenburg playing card factory in Germany and establishment of sales offices Cartamundi Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd (Singapore). and Cartamundi Spain.

2003

Acquisition of Games & Print Services, now part of Cartamundi UK., and a sales office is opened in Poland.

2005

Cartamundi acquires 50% of the Brazilian company Copag. The Polish Dertor Poland also becomes part of the Cartamundi Group.
New sales office are established in Austria.

2006

Further growth in the US with the acquisition of Yaquinto.

2008

Cartamundi expands further in Central America and opens a production site in Mexico. In Europe, Poland also gets a new production site.
A new sales office is established in Chile.

2009

The production site in Mexico is further expanded.

2010

Cartamundi further expands in the United States.
Cartamundi acquires 50% of Parksons Games & Sports Pvt. Ltd., (India) and enters new Asian markets.
Cartamundi Italia is founded as a sales office in Venice.
